Guess What I Did Today???

Today I FINALLY got to go Swimming!!!  :)  Its been 62 Days since I went swimming!! 62 DAYS!!!!    For a Dog like ME it might as well been a YEAR..
Sure Felt like one!!!
   Mom & Dad took me to the place that I originally got hurt BEFORE my surgery.
I wasn't worried tho.. Like Falling off a Horse I just jumped right back in!!   :) 
  I had to wear my leash tho and couldn't run around.. but it was still  great fun
SADLY I ONLY got to stay for  45 min... which is very short when you consider we NORMALLY stay at swimming parks 90 minutes to 2 hours..
But Mom & Dad said I have to "ease" into it.... what ever THAT Means.... 
   Weather was warm.. about 86'   Kinda humid..
Funny thing is.. On the way THERE It began to rain... but stopped the entire time we were at the Dog Park.. We were back in the Van about 2 Min. and it started up again.   :)
   Mom says I must have a connection with Mother Nature     ;) 
Sky looked like it might storm.. but it never did

It felt SO good to get all wet again and really stretch my Legs!!!   :)  and it was SO nice to NOT have my 2 sisters there... BOL!!!

The water was so soothing on my leg too.     :)

 

I zonked out on the  way home..     :)

There are still  8 more Sleeps until I see the Vet Man... Hopefully when I DO go he will give me clearance and then Mom said they will start doing a bit more every few days with me until I am up to FULL SPEED and hopefully ready for a GREAT day on my "GOTCHA DAY"  August 30th.

For those of you wondering... I barely even have a scar any more..  You can't really even tell I had surgery.. except for my hair has not fully grown back yet.

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Well today I turned  9 years old. My gosh..  9.. Where has time gone??  I still remember Mom coming to pick me up when I was only 6 weeks old. 
I remember seeing her and thinking to myself..  "oh yeah.. THAT one will have some GOOD snacks to share"  BOL!! 
No, honestly.... I saw her and I saw the love in her eyes and I ran right for her.  :)  She picked me up.. and never put me back down.    sigh....

I wish I could say that today was as wonderful as I had hoped... But I can NOT tell a lie..

It was sort of a let down..

I had HOPED to go swimming..   I really REALLY wanted to go.. and I KNOW Mom & Dad wanted to take me..  But sadly they were so very tight on Money that they didn't have enough to put gas in our Van.   (the place to swim is about 25 min. from our house)  So they couldn't make the trip..   I was pretty bummed out.. but I KNOW Mom &  Dad felt bad and they wanted to take me there.. and then I remembered that SO many dogs spend THEIR Birthdays locked in cages  with NO ONE to even love them.. . So I guess I AM pretty lucky..

Dad promised me swimming SOON!!!

But let me tell you about my Day..... 

MY amazingly handsome Boy friend  Coach sent me a cake and doggie ice cream..

So Friday morning Mom set out to make it..  Now let me explain something about my Mother..  (bless her)  She loves to EAT sweets.. but she isn't much of a baker..  bol...

So I know she did her best... 

 

 

It all Started out just fine...   1 Egg.. Some Vegitable Oil and Water.. 

but when she cooked it.. it sorta got a little "Crater" in the middle..   Mom wouldn't last very long on "Hells Kitchen"   (wink)

I must say tho- that Mom recoverd Strong and came up with a pretty cute little cake for me

none the less.  :)

I also got a birthday Cookie  today..   :) 

I had my Birthday "Photo Shoot"  :)    Mom kept saying how cute I am.  :)

Don't ya Just LOVE my pretty flowers..  :)  My sweet friends from Canada's Mom made it for me.  Thank you Auntie Carol,  Magnus & Run.   :)

Evening came and it was time for Cake & Ice Cream!!!!!!!

Might not of looked Perfect... but Oh Boy it tasted GREAT!!!!!

Mom says to check out my EYES in the photo below... They tell it ALL..    :)

Sadly I had to share with my 2 sisters..   grrrrrrrr

And also.. for those of you who MAY be wondering... YES....  My Dad DID try some of the Cake & Ice cream.... he said it was VERY bland.... 

I think he is crazy!!!    Tasted GREAT  to me!!!!!!! 

All and All is what a nice day.   I know I am very lucky to have such great parents that love me so much and 2 sisters.. that altho they annoy me.. are still special... 

And I am very lucky to have such great Friends like all of you!!!!   :)

Oh.. and speaking of Sisters..

I actually do have 2 REAL sisters.. yep..  Sisters that shared the Welping box with me.  Molly & Elly.. Here they are..   

I have 2 Brothers too.. but not sure where they are..   But I hope Molly & Elly had a great Birthday too.  

So thats all for me now...

HAPPY DAY!!!!

July 11th   2015

What a good Day.  Mom & Dad took me to a little park in Oswego  (no. not a dog park) but we still had fun!  I was so happy to be out and doing something. its sooo boring inside all the time and just taking short walks around the area by our house. 
    I was very excited in the car waiting to get there..  

Mom and Dad "had" to stop for some lunch First...   (sigh)  they took it to the park and ate it. I got some FRENCH FRIES!!
See me under the table waiting for hand outs..   BOL  
They sure eat SLOW!!!

Finally it was time to do some walking around!!!   Felt really good to stretch my legs.  

Then the BEST part came... Mom & Dad let me splash around in the water for awhile.. Oh what a happy Girl I was!!!

Then Mom couldn't resist a few publicity shots of me..    :)   #Diva    She said I am the cutest Lab in the whole world!

I wanted to stay longer...... but the  Mosquitos were bothering Mom alot.. (Me & Dad were fine...)  sigh...
It was so great to get out.  can't wait to go again...
  I must admit. I was a bit tuckered out on the drive home... 

Dad stopped at my Favorite Gas Station and got me some Biscuits!!  
Then we went home..  
I am resting now in my "room"... 
So glad my Folks took me today..
