Good News & Bad News

August 2nd  2015

Well saw the "Vet Man" today..  I was so excited to go..  Could hardly wait to get in the Van

We got there and Mom weighed me.. She was NOT happy.... I have gained about 6 pounds since I had my surgery.
Well Excuuuuuusssssseeeeeee Meeeeeeeeee
I've been laying around on my but for 45+ days .... BOL

I was my usual crazy silly self in the waiting room

They took us all back and the nice Lady took me in the back room to Xray my Leg. She said I did very well and all she did was rub my tummy and I was perfectly still.  :)
While I was back there Silly Mom & Dad were taking pictures of themselves in the exam room.. sigh

The Tech Lady brought me back to Mom & Dad and said the Vet Man would be in soon..  I was pretty tired out from the excitement..

After a few minutes the Vet came in.  First he said that I was looking good.  He asked Mom & Dad how I've been and Mom told him I am getting restless..  (which is a huge understatement)    He pulled up my Xray.
Here is my right rear leg...

Vet said the bone is healing up VERY nicely and there is no signs of arthritis in it.  BUT he said it still has a bit farther to go before its fully healed....
SO he wants me to still stay fairly quiet for the next 2 weeks..  Grrr Grrr
I Wanted a Second Oppinion... but Mom wouldn't  listen...
I Feel I am FINE .. GOOD to go.. Right as Rain..
but Mom said we have to listen to HIM...   sigh......................
If you blow up the xray a bit you can see the little "gadget" he put in my knee an the little screws..  I'm like a Bionic Lab now!!!     :)
So after they talked about what I can and can't do yet...  (Still no running, swimming ok, stairs on a leash, walks are fine)
Mom asked about this gross cysts I have on my neck..
I've had in about 7 years...  It was swelling up a bit..
Vet man checked it.. said it was nothing serious.. and he drained it for us.
he took a lance and poked it and all sorts of  green/yellow/grey  GUNK came out of it..  Like a huge zit.. BOL.. Mom watched but Dad looked away!!
Felt good to have it drained down..
So any way.. around the 17th I am back to the vet for another Xray and another check up.
Just hoping I will be ready to go for my GOTCHA DAY on August 29th.
Mom thought it was the 30th.. but I   set her straight.
We wanna have a fun day of Dog parks and swimming in Wauconda and Libertyville.
So I wait.........    Lets hope these 2 weeks go Super fast...
I will keep you all posted.
Love & Kisses
